Nature
De Kleine Wolf camping park is situated in the picturesque Vecht valley in Overijssel. The valley is a unique region of the Netherlands and a relatively undiscovered holiday gem. Its many woodlands, heaths, meadows and castles, as well as authentic, picturesque villages, such as Junne, Vilsteren, Rheeze and Beerze make it an idyllic haven of tranquility; with the enchanting Vecht river, abound with a diversity of fish species, twisting and turning its way through the landscape.

Sport
Any guests that find ‘De Kleine Wolf’ grounds too confining can go off into the park’s idyllic natural surroundings for walks and cycling excursions. There is also a professional golf course approx. 3 km away from the park and an exercise circuit, including outdoor training equipment, located in the Ommerbos a little way on. 

Culture
The Vecht valley is perfect for culture lovers, with the National Tin Figures Museum and Regional Museum in Ommen and dozens of gallery and studios strewn around the Valley. Horticulturalists will enjoy a visit to the Mien Ruys Gardens in Dedemsvaart, Waterflora Ada Hofman in Gramsbergen or the Free Range gardens in Ane. Equally, the Veenpark in Barger Compascuum or Emmen Zoo are also well worth a visit.

Enjoy excitement, thrill, action and speed? Then why not pay a visit to the adventure parks nearby, such as Slagharen theme park, Adventure Park Hellendoorn, Speelstad Oranje in Beilen, the Traffic Park in Assen, Kabouterland Exloo or the Dolphinarium in Harderwijk? Nearly all major adventure parks in The Netherlands are within 1 hour drive from our campsite. 

Shops
The Vecht valley, with bustling villages like Ommen, Dedemsvaart, Hardenberg and Nijverdal, is also great for shopping and for pub culture. The villages have a great range of shops and weekday markets.

In addition, guests will be able to enjoy the annual Ommer Bissingh market every Wednesday in July and August, with plenty of fun activities for the whole family. The summer months also see plenty of sporting and cultural events held in Hardenberg. Further afoot are the shopping cities of Zwolle, Hoogeveen, Emmen and Almelo, with Nordhorn (Germany) only half an hours drive away.
